TixKarma ("we," "us," "our") operates a ticketing platform connecting event venues with fans. By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or listing an event on TixKarma, you agree to these Terms of Service.
TixKarma is an informal trade name. These terms are between you and the individual or entity operating TixKarma. We will update these terms as we formalize our business structure.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Venue accounts require connection to a valid Stripe account for payout processing. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform.
When you purchase a ticket through TixKarma, you are purchasing from the venue, not from TixKarma. TixKarma facilitates the transaction but is not the seller of record for the event itself.
A flat buyer fee of $2.00 is added to every paid ticket. This fee is disclosed before checkout and is non-refundable once a ticket is issued.
Tickets are delivered as QR codes to your email address. Do not share your QR code before the event — scanning it will void the ticket.
Refund policies are set by individual venues. TixKarma does not guarantee refunds for any event. If a venue cancels an event, the venue is responsible for issuing refunds to ticket holders.
TixKarma's $2.00 buyer fee is non-refundable in all cases, including event cancellations, unless required by applicable law.
If a venue fails to issue refunds for a cancelled event, please contact us at support@tixkarma.com. We will make reasonable efforts to assist, but TixKarma bears no financial liability for venue failures.
By creating events on TixKarma, you represent that you have the right to host the event and sell tickets to it. You are solely responsible for the event itself — the venue, performers, safety, permits, and compliance with all applicable laws.
TixKarma is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any event listed on the platform.
Ticket revenue is collected by TixKarma and paid out to venues via weekly ACH bank transfers. Venues must add valid bank details to receive payouts.
TixKarma operates on a weekly payout schedule. Revenue from completed events is sent to the venue's bank account on file via ACH transfer, typically within 1-5 business days after each weekly payout cycle.
After a venue has successfully completed 5 or more events on TixKarma with good standing (no chargebacks, disputes, or policy violations), they become eligible for instant payouts.
Instant payout eligibility is not guaranteed and may be revoked if a venue's account enters dispute, chargeback, or fraud review. TixKarma reserves the right to hold funds during any active investigation.
TixKarma does not charge venues a platform fee. The $2.00 buyer fee covers platform operations.
Fans may resell tickets through TixKarma's in-app resale marketplace. When a ticket is resold, the original ticket QR code is voided and a new QR code is issued to the buyer.
50% of any markup above the original face value goes to the venue that hosted the event. The reselling fan retains the other 50% of the markup, plus the original face value.
Resale is only permitted through TixKarma's official resale flow. Selling QR codes outside the platform is prohibited and may result in account termination.
Venues receive fan data (name, email, zip code, purchase and arrival history) for fans who purchase tickets to their events. This data is provided for the sole purpose of marketing the venue's own events to their own audience.
Venues may not sell fan data to third parties, share it with other venues, or use it for purposes unrelated to their own events. Violation may result in immediate account termination.
Fans may opt out of marketing communications from a venue at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
TixKarma provides the platform "as is." We make no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TixKarma's liability to any user is limited to the amount of fees paid to TixKarma in the 90 days prior to the claim.
TixKarma is not responsible for event cancellations, venue failures, acts of nature, or anything that happens at the event itself.
You agree to indemnify and hold TixKarma harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your events, your violations of these terms, or your violations of any third-party rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising from these terms or the platform will be resolved through binding arbitration in Monroe County, New York, except where prohibited by law.
You waive any right to a jury trial or class action with respect to any dispute arising out of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify venue accounts by email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Don't lie about events. Don't steal fan data. Payouts come fast once you've built a track record. The $2 fee is ours and it's non-refundable. Be decent and we'll all get along fine.
